Evidence about the causes and consequences of cold, damp and unsafe housing, which people and which homes are most affected and why, as well as evidence of what works to fix the problem, is essential for us to be able to select the most effective and efficient strategies, and ensure that advice is based on proven solutions.
Wellington Regional Healthy Housing Group commissions independent research that contributes to the evidence base informing our work. We also work to identify, share and connect research done by our members and others that can be of value to the broad community of organisations working for warm, dry and safe housing in New Zealand.
